the Peace
in and for the said County
this 2d day of December 1784
Who being on their Oaths say and First the said Joseph
Bell< no role >
for himself saith that he [..] is Clerk to Messrs Francis & Thomas Bullocks< no role >
of White Chapel
[..] Brewers, that the said Francis
and Thomas Bullock< no role >
have a Store Cellar in Dunk Street
Mill End new Town which he this Informant locked
up last night seen after Eight o'Clock saith that
between Eight & Nine o'Clock this Morning he this Informant
went to the said Cellar and found that the Bolt of the
Lock had been wrenched open and that a Quantity of
Lead had been out away from a Gutter therein and
waslying inremoved from the place where Cut
into another part of the Cellar & that he saw an
Iron Crow and a Bag lying there
And the said Joseph Pollard< no role >
for himself saith
that he lives next door to where the said Cellar is
Situate that about half an Hour after twelve o'
Clock last Night heandheard people talking in
the said Cellar upon which he called up his
Brother who was gone to Bed and went out
to see what was the matter saith that he saw
the person now present who says his Name
is John Sims< no role >
and another person come out
of the said Cellar saith that his Brothers
Wife asked them who they were when one
of them Answered and said they were workmen
