Phillis Turnbull< no role > for herself Saith that she lives at
No. 2 little Moor's Yard in the Parish of Saint Martin
in the Fields that she Occupies a front Room on the Ground
floor in the said house and Saith that Yesterday about
four oClock in the afternoon she went out to take a
walk with her Children, she locked her Room door and the Casement fast and
left every thing therein Secured that she Returned ho [..]
About half past Nine in the Evening when she was
Constrained to get into her Apartment from a Window
in the Street when she went to her Chest of Drawers and
Observed a Shiff Gown, a Cheque apron a White frock
and a Coloured one had been Missing out of one of the drawers she then Searched
another drawer and found them therein Informants
Robert Turnbull< no role > her husband Peter Humston< no role > & James Lestor< no role > for
themselves Severally Says that they Returned home to
the house abovementioned about half past nine at night
and found the Street door locked when Informant Robert
Turnbull
< no role > put his hand to the Casement Window which
he found open, when he felt a hand from within
against his hand he then Apprised the other
Informants thereof who were in his Company
and instantly all got in at the Window, where
