The Information of Elizabeth Allen< no role > Wife of
Charles Allen< no role > of No. 1 Air Street Piccadilly
Coachman, Thomas Boot< no role > of Piccadilly Grocer and
Wiliam Forster< no role > one of the Patr [..] of St. James's
taken before me this 10th. day of August 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Elizabeth Allen< no role > says that
between 6 and 7 o'Clock this morning she awoke and heard a footstep in her Room that
she called out Charles supposing it was her husband but on looking saw
a person now present who calls himself William Wright< no role > in her Room,
that her Daughter called out Mother your Watch is gone, That Informant
on [..] out of Bed that said Wright immediately Ran down Stairs. And
Informant followed him calling Stop theif. and this Informant further
says that a Gown and Watch now produced are the property of her
husband and was Stolen out of her Room, And the said Thomas Boot< no role >
says that between 6 and 7 o'Clock this morning he saw said Wright Run
down Air Street on hearing the cry of Stop Theif Informant pursued
said Wright that said Wright threw away a Sack which Informant
took up in which was the Gown now produced. And the said william
Forster
< no role > says that between 6 and 7 o'Clock this Morning he saw a Mob
in Vine Street and found there was a Thief just apprehended that
Informant took said Wright to the Watch house were on Searching
said Wright he found the Watch now produced in his left hand Coat
Pocket.
