The Information of William Charnock< no role > ,Henry
[..] Mary Thelwall and Joseph Thelwall< no role >
taken before me this 2nd. day of August 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said William Charnock< no role > says
That on Saturday Night lat between 9 and 10 o'Clock as this Informant
was passing through King Street Covent Garden he observed a person
now present who calls himself Charles Stone< no role > with another person looking
inat the Shop Window of the said Joseph Thelwall< no role > , That after this Informant
had watched them sometime said Stone went into said Shop took a
Bundle of Stockings now produced from a Shelf therein and as he was coming
out said Shop Informant laid hold of him when he Dropped said bundle
of Stockings now produced. And the said [..]
said Stone being brought to the Watch house Mary Thelwall< no role > says that she
was in her sons Shop at this time that said Stone did not ask to see any
Goods when he came in nor did he purchase any, And the Joseph
Thelwall
< no role > says that the five pair of Silk and Cotton Stockings now produced
are his property and are of the value of thirty Shillings.
