This Informant Elizabeth Griffith< no role >
Saith That she is a
Servant to James Stratten< no role >
Esquire of the Parish of Saint
Matthew Bethnal Green
in the County of Middlesex
And
further Saith That on Wednesday the Sixteenth day of
June Instant about Ten o'Clock at night she was in the
Laundry adjoying to the Dwelling house of the said James
Stratton< no role >
and fastened up the same and left in the said
Laundry a large Quantity of Linnen some wet and some
dry And further Saith that about a Quarter of an hour
Past six O'Clock the next morning she was called up by
one of her Fellow Servants named Thomas Mallidge< no role >
who
acquainted this Informant that the Laundry window was
open and that the Laundry was robbed, Informed then
found the Laundry had been robbed of a large quantity
of linnen and other things the property of her Master and
the Iron Bar of the Window Taken out And furter Saith
that One Linnen Sheet marked I3A and one Darnash
Table Cloth marked I3A and a large quantity of Linnen
now produced by Solomon Lovell< no role >
a Constable of the
Parish of Hackney
is the property of the said James
Stratton< no role >
her Master and is part of the property that
was stolen out of her Masters Laundry as abovementioned

on his Oath Saith that he is
a Labourer and lives in the Parish of Hackney
And that
on Thursday Morning last about Eleven O'Clock in the
forenoon he was in a Cart with one John Moore< no role >
in
Grove street Hackney Peter Sampson< no role >
Joseph Collings< no role >
and Charles Allen< no role >
coming up the lane from Hackneywick
at the distance of about Two Hundred yards from
each other each of them having a Bundle in their
Custody This Informant and the said John Moore< no role >
suspected
they were thieves, accordingly [..] Moore pursued and called
out Stop Thief and by that means they pursued
