Middlesex to wit.

The Information of Charles Wright< no role > Ordo and
James Dennison< no role > taken before me this 2nd. Day of
July 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Charles Wright< no role > says that
this Morning between 2 and 3 o'Clock, as this Informant was coming
towards the strand near Temple Bar , a Person now present who
calls himself James Shiers< no role > met him jostled against him and
by force and violence feloniously Snached his Metal Watch, Chain
Seals and Ring from his fob. That the said Shiers kept the same
in his hand extended for some time and this Informant endeavoured
to get them from him, but without effects. And the said Herbert
Ord< no role > says that he was present at this time and saw a Watch
and Chain in said Shiers hand, when said Mr. Wright had
hold of him. And the said James Dennison< no role > says that
he was also present at this time, and assisted Mr. Wright
in securing said Shiers, during which time he was a Watch
-Chain in said Shier's hand.
