Who being upon Oath saysand first the said James Barclay< no role >
and
Jane Barclay< no role >
for themselves say that last Night about twelve o'Clock their
House in Upper Brook Street was properly shut up and secure, that this
Morning about six o'Clock they were alarmed with an Account of the House
having been robbed and on examination they found that in the Night Time
some Person or Persons had broke into the House through the back Area
Window and had stolen a Number of things, and the said Jane Barclay< no role >
for herself further Says that a Number of Handkerchiefs Gowns Aprons
Stockings Table Cloths Caps and other things now produced are the things
that were Stolen as aforesaid some of which are her property some others
the property of her Servant Eleanor Glegg and others the property of her
Aunt. Janes Box, And the Said Thomas Underhill< no role >
and John Disney< no role >
for themselves says that this Morning about 3 o'Clock being on their
Duty as Patrol Watchmanthein Oxford Street
near Duke Street they
met three Persons in Company together one of whom viz. John Davison< no role >
now
present was carrying a Bundle containing the said things now owned by
the said Jane Barclay< no role >
, that they apprehended the said John Davison< no role >
with
the said Bundle but the other two made their Escape for that Time, that
after the said John Davison< no role >
was in Custody he acknowledged that the
two Persons who were in hisCustodyCompany were Benjamin Barland< no role >
and Daniel
Love< no role >
now present, that these Informants accordingly went to a Room
in Oxford Buildings
where they found the said Benjamin Barland< no role >
and
Daniel Love< no role >
in Bed with two others and on searching the Ashes in that
Room this Informant John Disney< no role >
found a Silver Spoon now produced,
and the said Jane Barclay< no role >
further says that the said Silver Spoon
