The Information of James Allen< no role > James
Mc Manus< no role > and John Jones< no role > taken before
me this 29th. day of December 1783

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said James
Allen< no role > says that on Tuesday the 23rd. day of December last
hearing a Coach stops in the City Road , and suspecting that
a Robbery was then committing, he went up to said Coach

and saw two Men with drawn Cutlasses who were running
before the Horses and endeavouring to escapeThat he
pursued said Men, when one of [..] them strick him
on the Hand with a Cutlas, that he continued pursuing
them till he accidentally fell down when said Man got
out of his Sight and further says that he is very sure
that the said Joseph Clark< no role > is one of the said Men and
the Man who escaped from him as aforesaidThe said
James Mc. Manus says that hearing the said James Allen< no role >
call out to him, to stop said Men, he pursued them that
one of them struck this Informant on the Head with a Cutlass
[..] who he is very sure isthe saida person now present
who calls himself James Randall< no role > and whom he immediately
took into CustodyThe said John Jones< no role > says he was with
said Allen and Mc. Manus at this time, and Assisted in
securing said Randall and further says that he is very
sure that the said Joseph Clark< no role > is the other Person who was
in [..] Company with said Randall
