That Clarkes Christian Name is John
That they were both Shoemaker
That on the fifth of November Informant went
to Bed about Nine oClockThat Informant
was Awaked at abouta Quarter ofhalf an hour
after Nine Informant was askedwith the
Noise of he's Murder'd he's Murder'd
Saith he Lewis Close by the Place where the
Deceased and Clarke LivedThat Informant
Got up and went into the Street and there he saw
a Woman who said Clarke had Murder'd a Man
(But who the Woman is Informant Knows not)
That Seeing a Bustle at the Deceased Lodgings
Informant went there and found Johnson
lying on the Floor with a Stab near his Novel
And the Call hanging out of his Body
That Informant asked the Deceased who had
done that And he said Clarke had Stood him
And he said to Informant "Marshall who
"would have thought of this such Friends as
"We have been all Day together"
Saith that he Asked the Deceased whether They
had any words together and he said No
