Middlesex to wit.


The Information of William Swanwick< no role > of Chelsea
Tinplate-worker-John Shepperd< no role > , John Shallard< no role > and
James Mc Manus< no role > -taken before me this 8th,, day
of Novemr.. 1783.

Who on their Oath say, and first the said William Swanwick< no role > says,
that last night about six o'Clock, this Informant was going to
Chelsea on foot, he was stopped in the middle of the Five Fields ,
by two persons now present who call themselves William
Maynard
< no role > and William Richardson< no role > ; who robbed this Informant
of Eighteen pence in Silver, a few Halfpence and three Wires
bent, resembling a Wire now produced. That Maynard robbed
this Informant whilst Richardson stood by with a Pistol, which
Maynard gave him. And the said John Shepherd< no role > says that
he over took said William Swanwick< no role > shortly after he was
robbed in Five Field Row; and on being informed of his robbery,
he this Informant returned to Pimlico and acquainted
the said Shallard, Mc Manns and the rest of the Patrole;
who went in Bursent of them. And the said John
Shallard
< no role > says that he and his Companions met the said
Maynard and Richardson in Hyde Park , whom they secured;
and upon Richardson he found the bent Wire & twelve
penny worth of Halfpence now produced; and round the
said Maynards Knee the Handkerchief now produced and
claimed by George Noble< no role > . And the said James Mc Manus
says that he found the Horse Pistol now produced near the
Spot in Hyde park where said Richardson and Maynard
were secured.
