the Information of John Powe< no role > one of
the Watchman of the Parish of Saint Giles
in the fields in the said County Taken the
26th. day of September 1783.

Who upon his Oath Saith That soon after her
had called the hour of 3.o Clock this Morning he saw
Two Men nearly together in Durry Lane Saint Giles in
the fields one of which Men having in his Possession
Tach which contained some Property this Informant thought
it his duty to Take him into Custody to give an account
of himself before the Office of the Night when upon Searching
the Sack it contained a quantity of Lump Sugar Two
Tea Cannisters with Tea and some other Articles in
the Grocery business which being suspected to have
been Stolen, the Person (in whose Custody they were)
was Detained and Taken before a Justice of the Peace
