before me by Edward Lay< no role >
of Kensington
with feloniously Assaulting the said Edward
on the Kings Highway in the parish of
Kensington
in the said County putting him
in fear and feloniously taking from his
person a Silk Handkerchief and give
Shillings and Sixpence in Silverand
this Examinantfurthersaith that he
did not Commitfothe said felony and
Robbery nor was in Company with any
person or persons who Committed the
said felony and Robbery, for that being
locked out of his lodging he went and Step
in a field near Kensington
and further
Saith that he doth not directly or indirectly
know anything of the said felony and
Robbery
