The Complaint and Information of William Roles< no role > of
Edmonton in the Said County Labourer taken on Oath
before me James Townsend< no role > Esquire One of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the Said County this 30th Day
of July 1783

Who saith That onMondayTuesday the 29th Day
of this present Month of July John Marsh< no role > and James Gough< no role >
were in Company together near the Bull Alehouse in
the Parish of Tottenham high cross in said County, that
he had a Hat the Property of his Master Thomas Tuck< no role >
in his Cart. that some person passing by said to him
Carter they have Stole your Hat that he turned round
and Saw the Hat in the Possession of John Marsh< no role > that
he hollowed out to him upon Which he Dropt it. and
Gough and Marsh both ran away together that he
pursued them and took them Coth in a Ditch lying
together
