The said Thomas Arnold< no role >
being charged
before me by Edward Lay< no role >
of Kensington
with the feloniously assaulting the said
Edward on the Kings Highway in the Parish
of Kensington
in the said County puting him
in fear & feloniously taking from his
person a Silk Handkerchief & five Shilling,
& Six pence saith that John Deason< no role >
and Willm.
Owen seize hold of the said Edward Lay< no role >
&
attempted to take by violence the Hand
kerchief from off the Neck of the said Edwd.
& that John Deason< no role >
now present cut a
part of his Waistcoat pocket off but that
he this Examinant took the part of the
said Edward Lay< no role >
& took the Handkerchief
with a design to return it to him & after
he the said Edwd had escape he ran
after him to give him back the Hand
kerchief & had no intention to join
the Robbery
