The several Informations of William Starsacre< no role >
of Great Turnstile Holborn and Elizabeth his Wife
Taken the 30th. day of May 1783 before me
David Walker< no role > Esquire One of his Majesty's
Justices of the peace in and for the said County

This Informant Elizabeth Starsacre for herself
upon her Oath Saith That about the hour of 10. o Clock this
Morning She saw three Women Standing before the window
of her Shop in Great Turnstile aforesaid That the 3 Women
now in Custody Namely Margaret Wright< no role > Ann
Houghton
< no role > and Ann Sherlock< no role > were the Identical
persons That they all came into the Shop together and
asked the price of the Goods in the Shop and white They
were so doing this Informant saw the prisoner Houghton
Take the piece of Ribband now produced from off. the Counter
in the Shop and put it under her Stays and afterwards
put the same into her pocket That upon Taking her with
it She denied taking the Ribband But this Informant
Saith She saw the said Ann Houghton< no role > Take the said
Ribband out of her pocket and Drop it on the floor in
the Shop That it is of the Value of 9s. prime Cost

And this Informant Wm. Starsacre Saith That
he did not see the said Ann Houghton< no role > Take the said
Ribband But does in every other Respect confirm the
other part of the said Information
