Who being upon oath say and First the said Samuel Burkham [..]
for himself saith that between the Hours of five and Six
this Evening passing along Red Lion Street
in the parish of
Saint Mary White< no role >
Chapel in the said County he together
with one Mr Samuel Hesse< no role >
Stopped a person now present
who calls himself Benjamin Harbutt< no role >
with a Tea Urn
under his Arm that they took him to Mr East Shop in
Red Lion Street
afsd. and was informed by Mrs East that it
was her Husbands Propertyandthat he this Informant
and assistance took the said Benjamin Harbutt< no role >
to the
Rotation office in White Chapel
together with the said
Tea Urn which he now produces & Deposes is the same
so taken on the said Benjamin Harbutt< no role >
This Informant Benjamin Nash< no role >
for himself on his Oath saith
that having received Information [..]
[..] that one Charles Goddard< no role >
had Stole a Glass
belonging to the said Joseph East< no role >
he went with others
to the Room of the said Charles Goddard< no role >
in the House of
the said Benjamin Hubbard< no role >
in Rose Lane Spitalfields
that he found a Glass which he now produces upon the
Neccessary on the back of the said House That Goddard
Wife told him she had thrown it there and that her
Husband had brought it homeandthat he [..]
Apprehended the said Charles Goddard< no role >
and others
at & in the said House.
and this Informant Joseph East< no role >
on his Oath for
himself saith that that the Tea Urn and Small
Pier Glass now produced are his Property and
were feloniously taken and carried away from
his Shop in Red Lion Street
