Road Stable Keeper taken before me
this 25th. day of Febry: 1783

Who being upon Oath say, and first the
said William Lawrence< no role > says that as he was driving
his [..] Masters Waggon and Horses along the Edgware
Road with another Horse tied behind the Waggon
Manon Thursday the 13th. of February last about 4
o Clock in the morning he was stopped by a Man or
Horseback who presented a Weapon to this Informant
which appeared [..] to be a pistol and demanded
the Bridle from off the Horse behind the Waggon
which he this Informant delivered to him and
further says that he doth verily believe that a
person now present who calls himself Michael
Knowland< no role > is the person [..] that so stopped
and robbed him of the Bridle as aforesaid
And the said Thomas Price< no role > for himself says that
abt. ½ part 11 o Clock on Thursday Nightlastthe
13th. of February aforesaid the said Michael Knowland< no role >
brought to this Informants Masters Stables a small
black Poney now produced with the said Bridle upon him
