Chair maker taken before me this 4th. day of July 1782

Who being upon Oath says that he was present [..] at
Mrs. Pollards Door on Tuesday Night last [..] when
the Watchmen and others entered the HouseThat
a person now present who calls himself Peter Verrier< no role >
came forward and attempted to rush out when
this Informant and some other person laid hold of him
and threw him down after strong ResistanceThat
said Verrier said that "he was one of the Party who
was assistinghimand that if they would use him
well he would go quietlywith them"on which
they tied his Hands and took him to St. Giles's
Watch House
