this 19th.. day of June 1782.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Robert Gosling< no role >
Esqr.. says, tha three Promissery Notes now produced were
on the 29th.. of December last sent by the Post from
Messrs.. Baring Jackson & Co. of Exeter to this Informant
and his Partner, in a Letter, and which Letter nor Bills
were [..] ever received by them. And the said Amy
Noble< no role > says that the Promissory Note for twenty
Pounds (and one of the three Notes before mentioned) was
negociated to this Informant on Tuesday the first of
January last by a Person now present who calls himself
William Bradbury< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. , and which said Note she delivered
to the said Richard Noble< no role > the same day. And
the said Richard Noble< no role > says that he afterwards [..]
delivered the said Promissory Note for £20 to the said
Messrs.. Gosling; and that on Saturday last the 15th.. Inst.
the said William Bradbury< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. came again to their Shop
and offered in Payment to this Informant, the other
two Promissory Notes also now produced, when this
Informant stopped him on suspicion of stealing the
same.
