Middlesex the King agt. Richd. Mills< no role > for felony

Thomas Hedges< no role > of Lime house in the County of Middlesex
Custom house Officer maketh oath and saith that some short time
previous to the Session of Gaol Delivery holden for the County of
Middlesex in the month of October last this Deponent and several
others attended Mr. Justice Sherwood on the examination of one
Thomas Evans< no role > touching his (the said Thomas Evan's) having committed
a felony on the River Thames together with [..] the abovenamed Richard Mills< no role > andother Offenders not
then taken And this Deponent Saith that he and the other Witnesses
attended with the prosecutor at Hicks Hall where a Bill of Indictment
[..] preferred and found against the said Thomas Evans< no role > for the
[..] felony and they also Attended at Justices hall in the Old
Bailey when the said Thomas Evans< no role > was tried and gave evidence
against him upon his trial And this Deponent says that he
has lately been informed [..] that he was bound
by Recognizance at the same time to have given evidence against
the [..] abovenamed Richard Mills< no role > ; but this Deponent positively
says that the said Richard Mills< no role > was not then in Custody an has
he been since to the knowledge of this Deponent nor did this
Deponent know that he was bound by the Recognizance against and
other person than the said Thomas Evans< no role > who was tried as aforesaid.

Bailey the 16th. day of Octr. 1782}
