Middlesex to wit


The Information of John Gardner< no role >
and John King< no role > taken before me One
of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the said County

Who being severally upon Oath saith and
first this Informant John Gardner< no role > for
himself saith that he is a Watchman
belonging to the parish of Saint Mary le bone
that on the Morning of the 28th of September
last he was going to the Watch house of the said
Parish about five o'Clock after having been
upon Duty when going along Little Mary le
bone Street he observed the person now present
who calls himself William Dakin< no role > preventing
a Woman which this Informant verily believes was the wife of the said William Dakin< no role > from Coming out of a House in the said
Street and said to the said Woman come in and
Shut the Door and Immediately with great
Violence Shut the said Door when the Woman
Said I will go out with my Child and soon
after opened the Door again when this
Informant saw a great Quantity of Smoke
come out from the Second floor Window, and asked the
Woman if there was a fireandshe answered
there was upon which this Informant Spring
his Rattle and went to fetch a Turncock
when on his Return he went into the said
House were he was that part of the said
House had been in fire hand upon Examining
