[..] living at the Talbot Inn in the Strand and
Alexander Dixon< no role > Servant to Joseph Fleming< no role > of
Drury Land Pawn broker taken before me this
6th. day of November 1782

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Alexander
[..] ead
< no role > say that on Monday Evening last about six oClock he went into
the spotted Dog in the Strand (at which he was in Liquor) and
called for a Pint of BeerThat he fell asleep in said House
and continued therein about two Hours-That he is very
sure when he went into said House a Silver Watch now
[..] nants property was in his Fob and
[..] nissed the same And
[..] Monday Evening last
[..] half past eight oClock a person now present who calls
himself William Seaton< no role > came to this informants Masters Shop
and offered the said Silver Watch to pawnThat he first said
the Watch was his own property and that he had had it two Years
and afterwards said it was given him the same Night by
a Stranger & that he had never seen him before and used other
Prevarieations which induced this Informant to think he
had stolen it, on which he secured Him.
