The Information of William Finch< no role > and
John Bond< no role > Taken and made before me one of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County the seventh day of October
1782.

These Informants say and first the said William Finch< no role >
for himself Saith That in the night of the Twenty Eighth day
of September last the Dwelling house of John Coster< no role > Situate
at Bowes Farm in the Parish of Edmonton in the said County
was broke open by some person or persons unknown to this
Informant and one pair of Leather Boots one pair of Leather
shoesElevenseveral Linnen Childs frocks and sundry other things
his property was stolen therefrom and further saith That
[..] a pair of Leather Boots one pair of Leather shoesandand
several Childs Frocks now produced and shewn to him are the
same things that were stolen from the said house
And this Informant John Bond< no role > Saith that he was on the
Evening of the Twenty eighth day of September last a Patrole
[..] near the Green Lane Turnpike in the Parish of Tattenham in
the said County of Middlesex and that about Three o'Clock in
the Morning he saw [..] a Cart with one horse coming on
the road leading from a place called Bowes Farm towards
London with four men in it [..]
and this Informant suspecting they was bad people he Enquired
who or what they were upon which they produced a bagg and
sayd it was Linnen and gave it into this Informants hands and
he carried it into the Turnpike house desiring at the same timethat
that the men would come out of the Cart and see the bag searched,
they came out of the Cart immediately and ran off towards
Bowes Farm leavingathe Cart and horse, Bundle, two Cutlasses
and two Iron Crows behind their And further Saith that the
Bundle Iron Crows and Cutlasses now produced on the
Examination are the same things as were left in the Cart
as above set forth And further saith That John Matton< no role >
now under Examination is one of the four persons who was
in the Cart and had in his Custody the above mentioned property
