Who being on Oath say and first the said John Thompson< no role >
says
that he is a Clerk to Thos. Rackett Esqr.. in King Street
Covent
Garden
. That in the Night of Wednesday Sevenight last the House
of the said Thomas Rackett< no role >
was burglariously broke open and
a Quantity of Silver and Silk Stuffs, Manchester
Velverets, Red
Cloth, plain Silks and other Goods now produced (the Property
of the said Thomas Rackett< no role >
) were feloniously stolen thereouts
And the said Robert Dennis< no role >
for himself says that he is a
Watchman in Dukes Court Durry Lane. That about half
[..] Two o'Clock in the Morning of Thursday Sevenight, three
Men passed him in Drury Lane
one of whom had a Bundle
on his Shoulder and is very sure that a Person now present
who calls himself Samuel Davis< no role >
is the mentioned person
who carried the said Bundle. And the said James Mc. Manus
for himself says that he is a Watchman in Drury Lane
That he observed the said three Men come down Drury Lane
at half past Two o'Clock on the aforesaid Thursday Morning
two of whom had Bundles. That they knocked gently at the
Door of Lock's home the Butcher in Drury Lane
which was
opened by a Woman and they went in. That on this Infor-
-mant being told by the said William Jones< no role >
that they were
House breakers, this Informant knocked at Lock's door
with his Staff and found it open-that he rung his
Rattle for other Watchmen upon whose coming this
