. Taken this seventh day of June
1781 before us two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County.
Who being on his Oath Saith between the hours
of Twelve and one O Clock in the Morning of Saturday the second day of
June Inst. He was Stopped in his Chariot upon the
Highway between Saint Georges Turnpike and Mr. Benfields
Manufactory by four Footpads Armed with Pestols and
Cutlasses who with most Horrid Imprecations and Oaths
demanded his Money. that he accordingly delivered his
Purse containing two Guineas and upwards to one of the
said Persons and that he verily believes but to whose Identify he cannot positively sw [..]

his MoneySaint that they afterwards demanded his
Watch which he with held for some time but was
afterwards obliged to deliver.
