said she could not touch it but would call Mrs. Wilson
the Lodger up two pair of Stairs, Deponent called Mrs.
Wilson, who with some reluctance came, says the Bason
was then on the floor put there by Mrs. Spencer Deponent
desired Mrs. Wilson to look at it, who did, and said Oh she
has Miscarried she [..] soon be better, then asked Mrs. Wilson
what was that looked so black, was it the Child, Mrs. Wilson
turned it and said here is no Child, it is nothing but the After Burthen,
Deponent then turned to Becky, and said, here is the After
Burther, there must have been a Child come first, she said
I know nothing of a Child, if there was a Child, there it was,
Deponent says it is usual after the Delivery of Women
to Burn the After Birth, and that when the Kitchen was
clear excepting Mrs. Spencer she puttookSalt and threw the
After Burthen into the Fire, as she considered it had
been a Miscarriage.
