St Mary lebon 18th of May 1781

Touching the death of A New born Male infant then &
there lying dead

Sarah Tupman< no role > wife of Wm. Tupman< no role > of Glass
House Street in the parish of St Jamess: Watch Maker on
her Oath says she is A Midwife that she was sent for
to attend at the House of £d Carrisford that she
Imediatly there attended & was introduced to Lady Carysford
who informed her that one of her Maid Servants was ill
She suspected A Miscarriage that she was showd into
A Bed room where Elizth Harris< no role > This name instance is in set 721. This set is in the group(s): MothersOBP . was lying on A Bed
that she found the room very Bloody that she put her into
Bed & then Charged her with having been delivered of a
Child or a Miscarriage to which she denyed & said no
She insisted on knowing & after some little time she
pointed to the bed & gave a Cry of A Box that she opend
the Box and there found A Male Child which from the
best of her Judgment appears to have been been Alive
that She lifted up the Head and saw A Caye Wound under the
throat; that She found a pair of Sessions in the Box lying
by the infant which was blood & that on Asking her what
She did with those Sessions she said the child was in tangled
that in [..] Endeavoring to Extricate the infant the Wound
had happend
