Thomas Shirley< no role > of Kynisters Alley St. Martins ' Lane in the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields , one of the Constable s of
the said Parish, on his Oath says, that yesterday about Twelve
o'Clock at noon he was sent for to the Public Office in Bow Street
and Ordered by the sitting Magistrate, to go to Mrs. Margaret
Marsh
< no role > the Mistress of the House No. 5 in Coventry Court
near the Haymarket , to desire her to come to the Justice at
the said Office who said she would, and Deponent went home and on his return to the
Office found Mrs. Marsh there, with one Elizabeth Wilson< no role > a
lodger in the said Horse, the Deponent was then Ordered by
Justice Addington, to go and fetch the Mother of the Child
andMr.Deponent with one Mr. Charles Jealous< no role > who attends
that Office went to Church Lane otherwise Porridge Island
the back of Saint Martins' Church , and found her up one
pair of Stairs in a House there, sitting mending her Stays,
seemed unconcerned but when Deponent acquainted her that she
must go with him to the Justices Office she fell a crying
the Mother of the Child went with them to the Office. Mr.
Justice Addington Examined the Mother of the Child in the
Deponents hearing, she said she was with Child to he sure
four or five Months gone that she was at the Necessaryto
