And this Informant George Longfield< no role > for himself
saith that about three Weeks ago the other
Informant John Dupuis< no role > came to him and told him
that he had got two notes to the amount of Seven
or Eight pounds which this Informant was Indenture
to Mr. Carrack (meaning the other Informant Joseph
Carrack) upon which this Informant told the said
John Dupuis< no role > he did not any thing about any notes
as he had never given any to any person in his life
that this Informant did not hear any thing next
of it untill last Monday in the afternoon when
he was Arrested for the Sum ofEight pounds
Seven Pounds and upwards that on Tuesday Morng.
the Two Bailiffs who arrested this Informant
produced the two Promisory Notes above described
and this Informant in Order to get his Enlargemt.
was forced to give [..] a Note for the payment
of the said Two Sums of Money dates for
the Sum of 17s. & 10d. Costs. But this Informant
further saith that he never signed either of
the said Notes abovementioned but that the same
are false forged and Counterfeit
