Middlesex The King agt. John Fagan< no role >

Catherine Wadham< no role > of King Street Soho an Infant under the Age
of Twenty one Years being of the Age of Seventeen years Maketh Oath
and saith that she being accidentally in the Street near Gerrard Street
saw John Fagan< no role > take up and run away with a parcel which a
Porter had left at the Door of a house while he was delivering another
parcel and of which she immediately informed the said Porter who
pursued the said Fagan but did not over take him that the Porter came
back to this Deponent to inquire whether she knew the said Fagan
and Deponent informed him she had seen him before and would
inquire and find out for the said Porter who the said Fagan was
and where he lived and the said Porter then went away that this
was upon a Saturday and upon the Monday following she this
Deponent was sent for to Bow Street where she saw the said Fagan
in Custody and Deponent being then Sworn related what she knew
of the Matter and the said Fagan was then committed for the same
And this Deponent saith that she attended at Hicks's Hall on the Saturday
in theWeek of the Session next following and now last past And
was Examined on the finding the Bill against the said John Fagan< no role >
but being taken ill on the said attendance she went Home after
her Examination and the said Porter promised he would let
this Deponent know when she was to attend at the Old Bailey
upon the Tryal of the said John Fagan< no role > And this Deponent waited
in the Way all Sunday and Monday expecting such Information
and not hearing anything from the said Porter she this Deponent
went out on the Tuesday Morning and did not return home until
about Eleven o'Clock on Tuesday Evening when this Deponent was
informed by her Mother that the said Porter in the morning of that
