last the said persons who called herself the Wife of George
Longfield
< no role > and is now present and calls herself Margt.
Abbott came to his House and asked for someMonths
Mens Cloaths and other things which she said
was for her Husband which this Informant let
her have and which came to the Sum of five
pound and upwards and the said Woman gave this
Informant One Guinea in part & produced [..] a
Ship signed at the Bottom Geo Longfield which
she say'd her Husband had signed & given to her
for this Informant to draw a Note ever at for the
remainder of the Value of the Goods which she then had in pursuance
of which this Informants Clerk the said John
Dupuis

24th. April 1775
I Promise to pay to John Carrack< no role > or
Order the Sum of four pounds Seven Shillings at
the Rate of 1 Guinea Pr Month till the whole is
paid and in default of payment for fourteen Days
the whole to be Due

which Two Notes so given as above described this
Informant hath since learnt by the other
Informant George Longfield< no role > are false forged on
Counterfeit

And this Informant John Dupuis< no role > for himself
saith that he is Clerk to the other Informant
John Carrack< no role > that he by the direction of the said
John Carrack< no role > filled up the two promisory notes
above described and was present when the person
now present who calls herself Margaret Abbott< no role > was
at his Masters House and declared she was the
wife if [..] George Longfield< no role > and when she Uttered
and published the said two promisory notes as the
