of the peace for the said County City & Liberty
Who being severally upon Oath say And first this
Informant John Carrack< no role >
for himself saith that
he is a Linen Draper
and Hoxier in Richbell Court
Lambs Conduit
Street that on the Sixth Day of
April last a person new present who calls herself Margaret Abbot< no role >
came to his House
and told him that she was recommended to him by Mr.
Ward to buy some Linen and Stocking that she
was a Married Woman and would get her Husband
to Sign a Note for the payment of the Money to which
the Goods a came to at the Rate of three Shillings Per
Week upon which this Informant delivered Goods
to her to the amount of £3.4 & 8 then the said
Margaret Abbot< no role >
desired this Informant would let then
other Informant John Dupuis< no role >
his Clerk
draw up a Note
for the payment of the said Sum payable at three Shillings
per Week [..] which she would take to her
Husband whose name she told his Informant was
George Longfield< no role >
who hood in Whitechappel
and
accordingly the note was made out in the follg words
April 6th. 1775
I Promise to pay to John Carrack< no role >
or Order
the Sum of three pounds four Shillings & Eight pence
at the Rate of three Shillings P Week till the whole
is paid and in default of such payment for fourteen
days the whole to become Dues

which said Note so draw she took from this Inform
and returned with it on the same Day signed

this Informant further saith that on the 24 of April
