that he did not see the Man who robbed his Companion
on the other side of the Chaise

And this Informant Joseph Woods< no role > for himself saith
that he is a Constable of the parish of Saint Giles in
the Fields that having received Information of some
Foot pad Robberys having been Committed towards
Kentish Term he together with the other Informants
Dennis Mc Donald< no role > and Thomas Lyon< no role > went out upon
Friday Evening the Sixteenth of this Instant June
that about a Quarter past Eleven o Clock at night
they met first coming out of the Long fields near
Southampton Row Bloomsbury the Two Person now
present who call themselves Edward Dickins< no role > and
Richard Stephens< no role > and observing they answered the
Description which had been given them they apprehended
them that this Informant having hold of Richard Stevens< no role >
observed the other Edward Dickins< no role > threw something
away which aftersaid proved to be a Silver Watch
Immediately upon this Richard Stevens< no role > made a Motion
at his Pocket as if he wanted to threw something away
likewise upon which this Informant directly searched
the said Richard Stephens< no role > and found in his Breeches
Pocket a half Guinea & some Silver among which is
the half Crown and the small Spanish Piece of Coin
now produced and Sworn to by the other Informant
Samuel Massey< no role >

And these Informants Dennis Mc Donald< no role > and Thomas
Lyon
< no role > for themselves jointly say that they are Head borough
of the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields that they were
with the other Informant Joseph Wood< no role > when the two
persons now present who call themselves Richard
Stevens
< no role > and Edward Dickins< no role > were apprehended and
that this Informant Thomas Lyon< no role > having hold of the
