and all other Places where it was likely to find him
in Order to have him here as a Witness for her on the
above Prosecutions And Saith that not with standing
such her Endeavours She has not been able to
find him But is Informed by the other Deponent
Thomas Parker< no role > (who She Employed to Enquire
after the said Thomas Cairns< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. ) And which Informantion
she believes to be true that the said Thomas Cairns is
gone to Kirkend bright in Scotland which is Five
Hundred Miles from her and is not expected back
to England till near September next And saith she
does not doubt but She Shall be able to have him her
by the next Session to give Evidence on her behalf
And Saith that she verily believes Valentine
Rudd
< no role > in the said Indictment namedhaslong since
Dyed abroad And Saith it may be very Material
for her on her Plea and Defence to Prove he is so
And will Use her utmost Endeavours for that
Purpose before the next Session And Saith she
Doth not make her Application to this Honourable
Court for Delay but that she may have Time to
make a Just and proper Defence And this Deponent
Thomas Parker< no role > for himself saith that on
Yesterday Seven night by the Direction of the said
Defendant he Enquired at Mrs. Scotts in size Lane
where the said Thomas Cairns lately Lodged (and loder when in London) if
he was there and where he could be met with And
was there informed by the Maid Servant and which
he believes to be true that the said Thomas Cairns
was sometime ago gone into Scotland but where she
could not tell And Saith that he enquied at of her
