Severally Make Oath and Say that they these Deponents
were severally bound in Recognizance in the penal Sum of Forty pounds each
before Sir John Fielding< no role >
Knight one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the said County Upon Condition that Sarah Lejeune and Maria
Rigby the Wives of these Deponents should appear at the last Session of
Gaol Delivery of Newgate holden for the said County of Middlesex
the said
Sarah Lejeune to prosecute and the said Maria Rigby to give Evidence against
Elizabeth Davis< no role >
for Feloniously Stealing several things the property of this
Deponent Michael Lejeune< no role >
And these Deponents further Say that on
Thursday in the Sessions Week the said Sarah Lejoune and Maria Rigby< no role >
did Attend at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
and prefer a Bill of
Indictment against the said Elizabeth Davis< no role >
for the said Felony and
give their Evidence thereon before the Grand Jury And this Deponent
Michael Lejoune Saith that on the next Day Friday he went to the
Sessions House in the Old Bailey
to look at the List and see whether the
Tryal of the said Elizabeth Davis< no role >
would come on that Day but this
Deponent not seeing her Name on the List concluded it would not come on
And this Deponent Michael Lejoune the same Evening Agreed with
Mr. Fowle the partner of the other Deponent that the said Mr. Fowle
should send the next Morning to see whether the Name of the said
Elizabeth Davis< no role >
was on the Last which the said Mr. Fowle promised to do
and to send this Deponent Notice thereof this Deponent Apprehending that
to be the way to know when the Tryal of the said Elizabeth Davis< no role >
would
come on this Deponents Wife being very Ill and not able to Attend from day
to day regularly And this Deponent Michael Lejoune Saith that he
waited at Home the next Morning Saturday till never Eleven o' Clock
in expectation of hearing from the said Mr. Fowle but not hearing from
him this Deponent went to the said Sessions House and upon inquiry
