Workhouse as aforesaid and it being Markett Day this Deponent went
back again to give some necessary directions that proper provisions
might be got for the Poor in the said Work house and this Deponent did
immediately afterwards go to the said Sessions House in the old Bailey
(and was there by Tons' Clock) to give his Evidence against the said
prisoner but was there informed that the said prisoner was then just
Discharged and that this Deponents Recognizance was by this Honourable
Court Ordered to be Estreated for Neglecting to Attend And this Deponent
further Saith that he did not Neglect to Attend and give Evidence against
the said prisoner through any favour or Affection or for any Reward
the hope or promise thereof but that on the Contrary this Deponent
meant and fully intended to bring the said prisoner to Justice for
her said Office and that this Deponents Neglect happened as
abovementioned and through no other reason or motive whatsoever
Therefore this Deponent humbly prays this Honourable Court will be
pleased to Order his said Recognizance to be Discharged.
