Who upon her Oath saith that she keeps a Slop Shop at
Execution Dock in the said Parish and that last Night about
Seven o'Clock Two Men one of whom calls himself John
Hurley
< no role > came into the said Shop while the other whose
name is unknown stood at the Door and the said John
Hurley pretended he wanted to purchase some Jackets
and other Things to furnish him for a Voyage to Sea and
having been shewn a Scarlet Jacket he seemingly approved
of it and was desirous of putting it on to try but the said
Informant suspecting an evil Intention held hold of the said
Jacket and only permited him to look at it when he took
an Opportunity to snatch it out of her hand and gave it
to his Comparison at the Door who instantly ran away with
it and the said John Hurley at the same time followed him
and both made their Escape and this Informant doth charge
the said John Hurley and the said other person whose name

the said Jacket this Informant property in manner
