The Information of James
Whitcroft< no role > and his Wife of New Street in the
Parish of Saint Gilee in the Fields
Smith taken before Us three of
his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the said County

And this Informant James Whitcroft
Whobeing upon Oath saith that about Two months
or Nine Weeks ago a person now present who calls
himself Robert Street< no role > came to this Informant and
desired him to make him a Small press for the Cutting
out Watch Chain Lukes and a large press for the
Stamping the Impression upon them say'd that he
was going into that Business and had a partner with
him that this Informant agreed to make both the
presses for the said Robert Street< no role > who agreed to give
him Twenty four pounds and gave this Informt. five Guineas in that of [..] for the same that the said Robert
Street< no role > called several times to see whether they were
done that last Monday sennight the said Robert
Street< no role > came to this Informant and paid him the remaining
part of the said Twenty four Pounds that this Informant
asked him if he would have any receipt when the said
Street say'd there was no Accesions for any & this Informt
sayes that he gave directions to his Wife to deliver the
said Presses to the said Robert Street< no role > & to no other
persons And this Informant further saith that about
Two Months ago he went with the sd Robert Street< no role > to
the Fanlcon Foundery in Order to his peak a Frame
for the large press now produced and gave directions
that the same when finished should be delivered to the
said Robert Street< no role >

And this Informant Ann Whitcroft for herself saith
that she received direct one from her Husband the other
Informant to deliver the said two Presses to the said
Robert Street< no role > that about a fortnight ago the said Robt
Street & another person about Eight o Clock in the Evening
came to her Husband Thomas in the Cart in order to fetch
the Presses away and this Informant delivered the Keys
