Anthony Sawcey< no role > of Fleet Market in the Parish of Saint
Sepulchre London Innholder maketh Oath and saith That
He verily believes That Thomas Downes< no role > of Mount Street in
the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the County of Middlesex
Dealer in Horses is a material Witness for the Crown in this Prosecution
and that the said Thomas Downes< no role > is not able to attend this Court
in order to give his Evidence against the above Prisoner He having
been lately overturned in a Post Chaise and thereby cut and very
much bruised one of his Knees And this Deponent further saith
That on Tuesday last he saw the said Thomas Downes< no role > lying upon
Couch at his House in Mount Street aforesaid and was informed
by him That His Servants had carried him down Stairs from
his Bedchamber He being unable to walk And this
Deponent further saith that He verily believes that the said
Thomas Downes< no role > would have attended this present Sessions to have given his Evidence
if he had been able
