taken before me One of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace
for the said County
Who being upon Oath saith that on Sunday Night last
he met a person now present who calls himself Samuel
Lemon< no role >
with whom he has been acquainted for some times
the said Samuel Lemon< no role >
asked this Informant (it being
then very late) to go home & lay with him & a Woman
whom he called his wife upon which this Informant
went with the said Samuel Lemon< no role >
to his Lodgings
in Maynard Street Saint Giles where he saw the
person now present who calls herself Sarah Young< no role >
this Informant further saith that when he went
into the Lodgings of the said Samuel Lenmon he
had in his Breeches pockets Nine Guineas & three
five Shillings & three pences in Gold which he had Counted before the sd Lemon & Sarah Young< no role >
this Informant
undressed himself & put his Breeches with the said
Money in his Pocket under the Bolster of the Bed
the said Samuel Lemon< no role >
& Sarah Young< no role >
& this Informant [..]
themselvesgot into Bed together that about Seven
o Clock thenextMorning this Informant awaked
&pulled his Breeches from not on the Bfound his
Breeches removed from under the Bolster where he
had put them to the [..] edge of the Bedstead
upon Searching his pockets found that Eight Guineas
and the three five shilling & three pence were taken
and carried away and the said Sarah Young< no role >
gone
and the said Samuel Lemon< no role >
was laughing at this
Informant telling him he would go and see for the
said Sarah Young< no role >
And this Informt. went to Consult
his Brother what he should do and upon his return
to the said Room the said Samuel Lemmon< no role >
was also
gone this Informant further saith that the hath often
inquired at the Loggings of the sd. Samuel Lemmon &
Sarah Young< no role >
-but found that they had quitted the said
