Middlesex to wit


The Information of Samuel Robinson< no role > taken before
me this 27th day of July 1773

Who being upon Oath says that he knows George Brown< no role > now present,
and James Field< no role > now at large, says that on Friday last was a Week
the said George Brown< no role > and this Informant sett off towards Chelsea
with an intention to Rob, Says they both went to the Marquis of
Granby at Chelsea had two pints of Beer ad a paper of Tobacco, From
thence they went to the White Hart in the Kings Road Chelsea
had two pints of Cyder and Bread & Cheese, from thence they
went to the Marquis of Granby aforesaid and had a pint of Beer
and Tobacco, and then took across the Fields to Bloody Bridge
where they met the said James Field< no role > who Joined them, and
all three went to the Wheat Sheaf in Pimlico and had a Bottle
of Ale, and from thence sett off towards Kensington, Says
that that night between Kensington & Knightsbridge , the said
George Brown< no role > James Field< no role > and this Informant robbed two
Gentleman in a Post Chaise of a Gold Watch with a Gold
Chain & Seal and some money, says the name of the maker
of said Watch was " Francis Perrigall< no role > ", says they all three
then went across Kensington Gardens into the Bays water Road,
where they robbed a Man of Eighteen pence, Says that the Watch
was sold to a Jew in Petticoat Lane for £3.3.0 says that
one Moses a Jew procured the said Jew to buy it and had four
Shillings for his Trouble, Says that the said Brown & this Informant
broke the Chair in four Parts, and that Brown sold one part for Seven shillings
to a Silversmith in Cornhill, another part to a Silversmith in Fleet
Market for 0.10s.9d and a third part to a Silversmith on Holborn Hill for
£0.4.0, and that this Informant sold the other part to a Silver smith
in Compton Street for £0.5.0, Says that Brown sold the Seal
the Corner of Saint Martin le Grand for two Shillings.
