The Information of Samuel Coppock< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. and
Richard Howley< no role > taken me this 9th. day of
June 1773

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Samuel Coppock for
himself says that on Sunday last he received from the said Richard
Howley< no role > a Bill of Exchange now produced with an Acceptance of the
same thereon purporting to be the Bill of Exchange of Thomas Bevan< no role >
upon John Knox< no role > Esqr. & Co. Broad Street London for twenty two pounds ten
Shillings payable to Robert Johnston< no role > Esqr. or Order twenty one days after
sight dated Dublin May 28th. 1773 and purporting to be accepted by
John Knox< no role > & Co. June 2nd. 1773 and gave the said Richard Howley< no role >
the Cash for the same, and the said Richard Howley< no role > for himself says
that a person now present who calls himself Robert Johnston< no role > sent the
said Bill of Exchange by this Informant to the said Samuel Coppock to
get Cash for the same and that he this Informant accordingly gave
the said Money which he received from Samuel Coppock to the said
Robert Johnston< no role > who was watiting for him at a Chop house in or
[..] near Wyche Street, and the said Samuel Coppock further says that he has
since caused Enquiry to be made for the said John Knox< no role > Esq. and
that no such Person can be found, andthatthis Informant Samuel
Coppock further says that he does verily believe the said Bill of
Exchange to be falsely made forged and counterfeited and also the
said Acceptance thereon and that the said Robert Johnston< no role > uttered
and published the same as the knowing it to be falsely made
forged and counterfeited with Intention to defraud this Informant
