Masey

William Byrne< no role > of the parish of Egham in the County of
Surry Shop keeper Maketh oath and Saith That on the Eleventh Day
of March last he this Deponent was bound by Recognizance before
Richard Tayler Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the
said County of Middlesex in the penalty of Twenty Pounds Upon Condition
that he this Deponent should appear at the then next Session of Gaol
Delivery to be holden for the said County and give Evidence against the said
Elizabeth Godfrey< no role > and Ann Masey< no role > for Feloniously Stealing one Blanket and
divers other Goods the property of Richard Windsor< no role > And this Deponent
Saith That on Thursday the Thirtieth Day of the Month of April last
he this Deponent did Attend at Hicks Hall along with the said Richard
Windsor
< no role > the prosecutor and other Witnesses that were bound over in
Recognizance at the same time with this Deponent And the prosecutor did
there prefer a Bill of Indictment against the said Elizabeth Godfrey< no role > and Ann
Masey
< no role > for the Felony aforesaid And this Deponent did give his Evidence before
the Grand Jury thereon And on the next day being Friday the prosecutor
this Deponent and the other Witness did Attend at the Sessions House in
the old Bailey and not seeing the said Prisoners Names on the List that
was stuck up against the Wall they thereupon Concluded that the said
Prisoners would not be Tried on the said Friday and therefore went about their
Business And on the next Day being Saturday the said Prosecutor this
Deponent and the said other Witness did again Attend at the said Sessions
House in the Old Bailey and seeing the said Prisoners Names on the List
they stayed Waiting at the Door of the said Sessions House Expecting that
the Tryal of the said Prisoners would come on And about Two o'Clock
in the Afternoon of the same Day this Deponent was informed that the
Tryal of a Prisoner for coming would come on as soon as the Tryal which
the Court was then Trying was over and seeing the Implements and other
things that were brought to be produced as Evidence against the said
Prisoner for Coining he this Deponent form thence Concluded that the
Information which he had received as aforesaid was True, And this
Deponent being very Tried he having stood at the Door of the said Sessions
House all the Morning did go to the House of one Mr. William Robinson< no role >
at Holborn Bridge in order to sit down to nest himself And this Deponent
Saith That he did not stay at the said House of the said William Robinson< no role >
above the space of Ten Minutes before he returned to the said Sessions House
and when he came back the said Prosecutor and the said other Witnesses
informed this Deponent to his great Surprize that immediately after he
went away to the said House of the said William Robinson< no role > as aforesaid
the Tryal of the said Elizabeth Godfrey< no role > and Ann Masey< no role > was called on
