The Information of Jane Gardner< no role > Wife of
Luke Gardner< no role > of Lambeth Surry taken before
me this 16th day of October 1772

Who being upon Oath says that abouts the Middle of May
last she received a Metal Watch now produced of
her Brother William Herbert< no role > who was then in Company
with another Man whose name this Informant does not
know Says they brought it to her house in Mercer
Street and that her said Brother William Herbert< no role > laid
it on the Table and desired this Informant to lend him
Sixteen or Eighteen Shillings upon the said Watch, which
Money she lent him and kept the Watch and afterwards
lent the said Watch to a Person now present who
calls herself Christina Kitching man to Pawn in
order to get some Money
