Who severally being Oath say And first this
Informant Thomas Careless< no role >
for himself
saith that ons Michaelmas Day last about One
o' Clock at noon this Informant went into
Guild
hall in the City of London
being the time of Clock for Lord [..] & then had in his
pocket the pocket Book now produced an which
were [..] several Bank Notes to the amount of
two hundred & forty pounds two of One hundred
pound each One of thirty pound and one of ten
pounds & whilst her saw in the said Hall for some
time he kept his hand on the pocket in which the
Book was in but receiving a push disangaged his
hand from his pocket & when the violence of the
push was over he put his hand to his pocket
and found that his Book was gone but who the
person were that took it he cannot tell
And this Informant Paul Pinnard< no role >
for himself
saith that on Monday the 5th. Instant about
11 o Clock in the Forenoon two persons now present
who call themselves John Dimo and Mary Michaell
came to this Informants Shop in New Street
Covent Garden
& bought of him some Gold Lace for
a Weistcoats and in payment for the said Lace
the send John Name offered a Draft Upon Brown
& Collins for Fifty Bound & which this Informant
refused to take then One of the two persons
produced a Bank Note Now produced for ten pounds
but which of them Informant cannot says
this Informant gave them change for it
