On The Prosecution of James
Wood
< no role > For Burglary in his the
said James Dwelling House

James Wood< no role > the above Prosecutor Maketh Oath
that at the last Session of Gaol Delivery for this
County Henry Dixon< no role > was Tryed and Convicted On
this Deponents prosecution against him (and the above
Named Solomon Wood< no role > ) for the above Offence that
this Deponent has not been able to gett the said
Solomon apphended untill Saturday night last when
the said Solomon was accidentally taken in the
Street And this Morning Carryed before Joseph
Girdler
< no role > Esquire and by him Committed to Newgate

That this Deponent is by reason of the Shortness
of Timeisnow unable to [..] produce the proper Witnesses
relating to this Matter before the Court And Saith
that Jane Cady this Deponents late Servant has
been gone from this Deponent upwards of a Month
[..] that she and several others are
Materials Witnesses for the Prosecution and without
whose Testimony he Cannot safely proceed therein
and who at present he Cannot gett here but
will use his Endeavours and Doubt not but
he shall be able to have them at the next
Session

Sworn at Justice Hall in the
Old Bailey the 29th. day of October
1770}
