on the Day the other Informt Joseph Holloway< no role >
was Shot he this Informant who keeps a
Cobber Stall near to the said Joseph Holloways
House was standing at his Stall of Door he
heard a Pistol goe off & saw the Smoke Come
out at Mr. Holloway's Passage and in a few
Minutes after he sawa Mans thesd. Thomas
Hand< no role >
with a Pistol in his HandEngaged with
another Man & they both fell down together
but the Man took the Pistol from the sd. Thos
Hand & secured him And this Informant went
with the said Thos. Hand & the Man who
took him to Wm. Hawthorne< no role >

this Informant heard the said Thos: Hand say
that he was sorry that he had Missed his Mark
And this Informant William Hawthorne< no role >
for himself saith that on Saturday the 6th
Instant about 12' o'Clock at Noon a maid

House and say'd Mr Hawthorne< no role >
for God's
take came for Hand. has Shot my Master
& Immediately this Informt. put on his Court
& Waistcoat & went & met the said Hand
in Custody of John Richmond< no role >
& several other
Persons & the sd. John Richmond< no role >
had the Pistol
now produced in his Hand And this Informant
sayd to the said Hand, Good God how coud you let your
Passion overcome Your reason to doe such a Rash Action
