The King agt. Nathaniel Lee< no role >
For Felony and Treason

Nathaniel Lee< no role > the above Defendant Maketh Oath
that on Monday last he was Committed to Newgate That
one William Smith< no role > is a Material Witness for this Depont
on the above Prosecution and without whose Testimony
he cannot safely proceed to Tryall And Saith that on
Tuesday last and since he Caused Inquiry to be made after the said
William Smith< no role > in Order to have him here as a Witness
for this Deponent but Could not till Yesterday hear
Where the said William was gone to and then was
Informed (and which Information he believes to be
true) that the said William Smith< no role > was then at Bristol
and would not be in Town until the next Week And
further Saith that he will use his utmost Endeavours
to have the said William Smith< no role > here at the next
Session and has no doubt but he shall be able so to do
