The Information of Thomas Rolfe< no role >
of Stainer Maltster< no role > taken
before me this 23d. day of
Septr. 1766

Who being upon Oath says that John Cowper< no role > now present
hath been for sometime Labourer to this Informant
says that on sunday Morning last he was Informed
by his neighbour Mr East that said Cowper had sold a
Quantity of Oates to Edward Osmore< no role > also now present
says upon this Information he went to said Osmere's
House where he found concealed seven Bashells of Oates
which he verily believes to he his because part of them
were in one of his own Sacks, says [..] Osmore
confessed he had bought said Oates of the aforesaid
Cowper, says before he went to Osmorel house to upon
suspecting said Cowper had been at his room when
he found two of his Sacks concealed under his Bed
from all which circumstance he has cause to suspect
and doth suspect and believe that said Cowper
feloniously took and Carried away his said Oates
and three Sacks, and that Osmore feloniously
recd. the Oates and one of the said Sacke well knowing
them to be Stolen
