of Neasden in the said County taken
before me this 30th. day of March 1766

Who being upon Oath says that this day five
Weeks at about four of the Clock in the afternoon as
he was attending his Master who was in a Chaise
he this Informant being on Horse back a single
Highway man Mounted upon a grey Gelding stopt
his said Master near Finchley Church presented
a Pistol and demanded Money, says his said
Master said he wou'd not be robbed drove on
and thereby escaped days he has since seen a
Person who calls himself Thomas Smith< no role > whom
he is very sure is the Person who assaulted his
Master as aforesaid with Intent to Rob him
